04-01 SCBA Monthly Inspection Checklist

Inspect Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment to assure readiness for emergency response in high hazard or IDLH environments.

Inspection covers:

1. Bottle pressure (psi)
2. Regulator
3. Hydrostatic testing requirements
4. Units Condition (harness, facepiece, head straps, etc.)
5. Exercising the Air flow from the Bottle to Full Face Respirator
6. Assuring Class D Air Quality
7. Alarms
